A growing amount of multimedia content is available in digital archives, on the web and on personal computers. While the multimedia data stored is growing, the reach ability of valuable multimedia content is getting harder. Each company or researcher was developing their own solution for storing and querying multimedia content. MPEG-7 is an extendable ISO/IEC standard for audiovisual data storage to regulate the multimedia data description storage. In this talk, new BilVideo system, which adds MPEG-7 compatibility to the former BilVideo version, and its architecture will be explained.
